Damn that was fast! Just when I thought Phelps would coast his way to 2009's biggest douche of the year, Chris Brown backhands his way into the lead.
I have NEVER liked Chris Brown. Never. Guys that crave attention don't sit well with me.
So in case you haven't heard the story:
Chris Brown beat the FUCK outta Rihanna over a text message. A text message that was sent to him by some hood rat trying to meet up with Brown later on that evening. Police stated that Rihanna couldn't even open her eyes to look at the camera for evidence photos. A busted lip, nose and swollen forehead were also given by Brown. Happy Fuckin Valentine's Day huh? Fuckin asshole.
What I can't wait for, is the blackballing Chris Brown will endure once Rihanna's "big brother" makes his move.

When I heard this story I was shocked. I myself am not a big fan of Chris Brown but i dont find his music repulsive. (Beast- I think everyone in the entertainment industry craves attention to one degree or another........some people can use their entrepreunurial skills to feed off this need and market such talent, either thru TV, Radio, or Internet (pensive "winks" twice))
We should differentiate between Brown Douche-ness and Phelps Douche-ness (no disrespect to the usage of NESS). Phelps Doucheness is more intrinsic in that they only one affected is him and his finances. Dont get me wrong, he is still one of the dumbest schmucks in existance, however i think that Brown douche-ness surpasses that of Phelp's.
I cant stand any motherfucker that beats on women
Na.
CRAVING attention and NEEDING attention to boost your career are two totally different things.
I wouldn't label my work as "feeding" off of people's crave for attention......more like mutually scratching one another's back.
Business 101 Tito.
I agree with Brown being a bigger douche. Totally.
I hate to pull the dictionary out, but I will. Crave and need are one in the same.
CRAVE - /kreɪv/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [kreyv] Show IPA Pronunciation
verb, craved, crav⋅ing.
–verb (used with object) 1. to long for; want greatly; desire eagerly: to crave sweets; to crave affection.
2. to require; need: a problem craving prompt attention.

4. to ask (a person) earnestly for something or to do something.
–verb (used without object) 5. to beg or plead (usually fol. by for).
There are definetely degrees of craviness, but for the most part I stand behind my point of all entertainers craving attention.
syn·o·nym (sĭn'ə-nĭm') Pronunciation Key

2. A word or an expression that serves as a figurative or symbolic substitute for another.

Crave and Need are one in the same?
Negative. If it meant the same thing Tito, then it would be the SAME word. Lol.
Need defines Crave, therefore they mean the same.
Man....you and I can argue about pretty much anything.... whats this post about again.
much love brotha
hahahahahahahahaha.....
you ARE absolutely right. we could argue ANYTHING.
but just for shits and giggles.
Necessity and Luxury are complete opposites. CRAVE a luxury but you cannot NEED it by definition. Therefore NECESSITY is a NEED not a crave.
;)
But to crave something is to need it, you are totally correct in that you can need something and not crave it, but i will reiterate to crave something is to need it.
Negative.
I crave chico's....doesn't mean i NEED it. Period.
People crave drugs and alcohol but they won't DIE without it. Hence, rehab.
You are totally right, but in terms of Entertainment industry you cant tell me that not all entertainers crave attention....
how do you like that double negative statement
Love it. Can't/Not.
Tito your argument is circumstantial AT BEST.
You can't determine what an entertainer craves and doesn't.
Concede this one.
i was thinking of conceding, but now ........not
Can you name me one entertainer whom you believe does not crave attention?
Trying to make me contradict myself?
I just told you....NO ONE can tell what another person craves or doesn't crave.
You just did... your original post says verbatim
"I have NEVER liked Chris Brown. Never. Guys that crave attention don't sit well with me."
How do you know, for sure, he craved attention?
This is Jessica (Jesse's girl). You have to appreciate that I go through this everyday David! It only gets worse if you feed into it. :D
SMH.
I never knew someone could be so relentless AND so wrong at the SAME time.
Kudos to you Jessica. ;)
I see you didnt address my post regarding C. Brown's crave for attention.
Chris Brown's P.R. history is enough for me to conclude that he CRAVES attention.
Is that a fact? Of course not.
But that is ONE entertainer. And i've taken the time to review his history.
You my friend, wanna bunch up every entertainer and label them as attention seekers. I believe they have a word for that.....
what do "they" call that?
Dense.
Haha nice argument guys. I can see where both of you are coming from.
I gotta go with the beast on the meaning of crave. Crave and need are really not the same thing. I am really craving chocolate right now, but since the store is closed and the next closest is 8 blocks away, I will do without it. Crave is more like "want" then "need", but as you know "want" drives "need".
I gotta go with lion on the attention thing though. It's basically true that most entertainers want attention. If they didn't, they would have chosen a different career. They chose to entertain people.
There are exceptions to every rule though, so the only thing that you can be absolutly sure of, is that you can't be absolutely sure of anything...haha
I guess the point is that Chris Brown is a dick, and we all hope that Rihanna gets well soon. And I personally would like to see Chris get his ass handed to him...haha
